About-  The overall goal of the REinforcing Women IREsearch (REWIRE) COFUND Programme, a Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions COFUND project funded by the European Commission,  is to establish a support scheme for excellent postdoctoral female researchers to foster their scientific development, to nurture their expertise and to make a profound impact on their future careers. The Programme aims to address statistics published in the European Commission’s “She Figures 2015” which clearly demonstrate that women are under-represented in academic careers. Location- University of Vienna, Austria

Eligibility/Qualification–

  • Be female
  • Have been awarded their PhD or will have successfully defended their PhD before the start of the fellowship

Job/Position Description- 

  • A 36-month fellowship in any discipline

How to Apply- The guide for applicants will be published on 1 July 2019!

  • Comply with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Mobility Rule (REWIRE will abide by the mobility rule defined for MSCA, the reference date being the call deadline, meaning applicants will only be eligible if they have lived or had their main activity (work, studies etc.) in Austria for less than 12 months within the past three years at the time of the relevant deadline)
  • Submit a complete application (in English) before the specific call deadline

Applicants are allowed to make only one application per call.

The application must be submitted electronically via the online application tool. Once the call is open, templates for your application can be downloaded here.

A complete application shall consist of the following:

  • Research Proposal (template to be provided)
    • Summary (1 page)
    • Proposed Research Project (max. 5 pages)
    • Motivation to join the department/research group including a 5-year career plan (1 page)
    • Ethical issues
  • Academic CV including the names of two referees (template to be provided)
  • Support Letter from hosting mentor
  • Copy of PhD/Doctorate certificate
