Eligibility/Qualification–
- A completed PhD in a relevant field (Electrical/electronic Engineering or similar).
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Experience with hardware required for optical communication systems.
- Can develop complete optical communication systems for video/images transmission trough optical fiber or in free space.
- Skilled in Matlab and Labview.
Qualifications and expectations for Research Specialist:
- BSc degree with 4 years working experience or MSc degree with 2 years working experience, in a relevant field (Electrical/electronic Engineering or similar).
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Experience with hardware development and prototyping.
- Develop electric and electronic power modules required for optical systems.
- Conduct hardware and software development for electrical components in optical systems.
- Skilled in Matlab and Labview.
Job/Position Description-Â
Research group is seeking to fill a position in the Photonics Lab at KAUST. The candidate will perform technical tasks associated with the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of optical systems and experiments.
