Research/Job Area- Triple negative breast cancer.
Location- Spanish National Cancer Research Center – CNIO
Eligibility/Qualification– Candidates will need to meet the following requirements in order to participate in this call:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree.
Candidates must have at least one first-author paper, either published or accepted before the application deadline, in a leading international peer-reviewed journal in the Medicine & Life Sciences field.
A 1-minute video in English to outline your research interests, your skills and the reasons why you would like to do a postdoc stay at CNIO.
Two letters of reference are strongly recommended; one of them should be provided by the thesis supervisor
The candidates will be evaluated based on Scientific Excellence and the selected one will be able to choose among a list of eligible CNIO groups that have presented a scientific project related to triple negative breast cancer.
Job/Position Description- The possibility to incorporate immediately to a Centre of Excellence. The CNIO will provide a full-time employment contract, for a duration period of 2 years, according to the provisions of the Spanish Law, with entitlement to all the benefits available to CNIO employees.
One postdoctoral contract to doctors of all nationalities, giving them the opportunity to carry out a 2-year postdoctoral stay at the CNIO, to accomplish a research project on triple negative breast cancer.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the salary tables of the CNIO, and will be determined on the basis of the intervening years between the date of completion of the doctorate and the intended start date.
The contract does not imply any obligation on the part of the CNIO after the 2-year contract has been terminated.
At the end of the 2nd year of the contract, the enrolled scientist shall submit a report that summarises his/her activities and scientific achievements.
How to Apply-Â The candidate has to fill in the form and provide the required documents: CV, the scientific productivity file, the motivation video, and the reference letters.
In the case of stays in other centres, CVs must indicate the period of time, name of the centre, and the name of the PI of the lab.
The applicant is responsible for the veracity, accuracy and completeness of the data provided in the online application form.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Only one application per candidate will be accepted. If more than one application is received from the same candidate, only the last one will be considered as valid.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to hold meetings with the CNIO group leaders and be informed on the proposed research projects. The candidate will have the chance to choose the laboratory and the corresponding research project.
