About- The Institute of Physics in Bhubaneswar, India, is seeking a postdoctoral/Senior Project Associate for a project titled “Beyond Standard Model Physics with Neutrino and Dark Matter at Energy, Intensity and Cosmic Frontiers.” The position is funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced research (CEFIPRA) and will end on May 30th, 2024. The candidate should have expertise in astrophysics, cosmology, collision physics, and machine learning/package development/data analysis. The position is coterminous with the project duration and will end on May 30th, 2024. The selected candidate will work with Indian and French project members. Eligibility/Qualification–
The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree with experience in the broad area of theoretical condensed matter physics. Those who have submitted or are about to submit their PhD thesis may also apply.
Desirable Expertise: We are looking for people with background in theoretical condensed matter physics with expertise in many body field theory/ density functional theory/ quantum montecarlo/DMFT with interest to work in the field of quantum magnetism, unconventional superconductors, topological states of matter, strongly correlated systems.

Postdoc position in Theoretical condensed matter Physics at IOP, Bhubaneswar
Applications are invited for one Postdoc position to work in the broad area of theoretical condensed matter Physics at Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar.Terms of appointment: The initial appointment of the candidate will be for one year, extendable annually up to a maximum of two years, depending on the candidate’s performance and availability of funds through the APEX project of IOP. The fellowship is as per DAE norms. Campus accommodation is subject to availability

The research statement should include the summary of research until now and a brief outline of the future plan of research. Two recommendation letters from people familiar with the candidate’s research are also to be sent by the deadline. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email and will be called on for a seminar and interactions in person or online.
Last Date for Apply– 15 December 2023
Tentative deadline of receipt of the complete application and all recommendation letters is 15th Dec 2023. However, applications will be considered until the positions are filled.
Selected candidated is expected to start the postdoc tenure as early as possible starting from early 2024.
