Postdoc Position on Theory of Quantum Geometry and Superconductivity

Last Date– 30.9.2022

  • Postdoctoral researcher with strong analytical skills and experience in quantum many-body theory, preferably in superconductivity, quantum geometry, and/or topological physics.
  • Good command of English (both verbal and written) and demonstrated ability to disseminate scientific results are mandatory requirements for the position.
  • Applicants must be motivated to conduct research at the highest international level.
  • Aalto University follows the salary system of Finnish universities.
  • The salary ranges for a postdoc from 3700€ to 4100€ per month, depending on previous experience.
  • The primary workplace will be the Otaniemi Campus.
  • The QD group explores quantum many-body physics theory, focusing on superconductivity, quantum geometry and topology.
  • Andrei Bernevig’s group is famous for topological physics and, recently, research on twisted bilayer graphene.
  • Computational facilities available for the project are outstanding and completely free of charge.
  • The application deadline is 30 September 2022, but the position will remain open until filled.

  • Postdoctoral Researchers in the general areas of Harmonic Analysis and PDEs, Dynamical Systems or Random Models.
  • There will be 2 positions filled with each for up to 2 years.
  • The positions will be filled at the latest in December 2022.
  • Previous background in one or more fields is preferred but not completely necessary: ergodic theory and dynamical systems, fractal geometry, additive combinatorics, analytic number theory or related field.
  • The expected starting salary is approximately 3700 €/month.
