Eligibility/Qualification–

Qualifications and Experience:

Ph.D. +5 years, M.Tech. +7 years of relevant experience. Industrial experience will be valued highly.
Ph.D./ M.Tech in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Molecular In-Vitro Diagnostics/Biosensors & Bioengineering.
Minimum of 3+ years leading and managing a team needed
Demonstrated excellence in product development experience; molecular in-vitro diagnostics experience is valued and demonstrated via publication in high impact peer reviewed research papers.
Clinical or industrial microbiology education, with strong associated laboratory skills and experience will be an advantage.
Extensive knowledge of Microbiology, Materials Chemistry, Bioconjugation, and biochemistry
Demonstrated success in leadership and managerial experience.
Innovative thinker
Excellent problem solving skills and decision making ability
Experience with experimental design, design controls, and statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to write project reports and present to scientific meetings and customers
Experience in writing Grant and funding proposals in industrial and/or academic setting.

Essential Qualifications

RS-1: PhD in Chemistry/Nanotechnology/Organic Chemistry/ Chemical Biology/Bioengineering. Knowledge of microbiological methods will be an advantage.

RS-2: PhD in Microbiology/Life Science/Molecular Biology or similar disciplines.

Experience in Diagnostics/Biosensor, monoclonal antibody generation (and its bioconjugations) will be an advantage.

Who shall be the best candidate?

RS-1

Strong preference will be given to candidates who are highly skilled in the areas of nanoparticle synthesis, functionalization and conjugation, surface chemistry or similar areas. Candidates with expertise in biosensor/DNA sensors/Aptamer based biosensor with bioconjugation chemistry will be preferred.

Candidate will be required to perform bench work in the lab and should demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to deliver within deadlines is a must.

RS-2

Strong preference will be given to the candidates who are highly skilled in microbiological growth techniques, antibiotic-microbial relationship with work experience in antimicrobial resistance mechanisms. Candidate should be well versed with international Antibiotic resistance guidelines such as CLSI and EUCAST.

Candidate will be required to perform bench work in the lab and should demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to deliver within deadlines is a must.

Job/Position Description-

The candidate must be a strong individual contributor within a multidisciplinary team comprising engineers, biologists, chemists within the framework of milestone – driven research project. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. A demonstrated record of high technical achievement (evidenced by publication in high impact scientific journals, patents) along with demonstrated ability to conduct creative, independent research is required.
