About- Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) is a Central University established through an Act of Parliament in 2022. GSV is India’s first University focussed on transport and logistics related education, multidisciplinary research and training.

Eligibility/Qualification–

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Sciences is required. A Master’s or PhD is preferred.
At least 15 years of professional experience, ideally at a senior level.
Proven expertise in the field with a focus on the areas mentioned above.
Must be a distinguished expert with contributions in their domain, such as CEOs, CTOs, senior industry leaders, etc.

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), India’s only university dedicated to the transportation and logistics sector, is inviting applications for the position of Professor of Practice (PoP) on a contractual basis. Position: Professor of Practice (PoP) – Contractual

Develop and design cutting-edge courses and curricula based on industry needs.
Engage in collaborative research projects with industries, government bodies (e.g., MoR, MoPSW, MoRTH), and academia.
Lead the establishment of Centers of Excellence (COE) and state-of-the-art laboratories in transportation/logistics domains.
Mentor faculty and students, encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning.
Facilitate industry-academia collaborations, organize workshops, and contribute to seminars and conferences.
Conduct joint research, consultancy projects, and actively participate in academic governance.
Deliver lectures, develop new courses, and contribute to the university’s teaching load (240–300 hours per year).

Compensation:

Consolidated salary based on experience and eminence, ranging from ₹1.5L to ₹2.25L per month.
Additional transport allowance as per rules.

Vacation & Leave:

8 days of casual leave (CL), 2 restricted holidays (RH), and earned leave (EL) accrued @2.5 days per month.
Professors of Practice are not entitled to vacation leave or campus accommodation.

Other Information:

Candidates currently employed in government/PSU/Autonomous bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) along with the application.
GSV reserves the right to modify the number of positions or cancel the recruitment process if necessary.
