Eligibility/Qualification–

While each post has its specific requirements (shown in detail in the PDF), overall patterns are:

  1. Junior Research Fellows (JRF):
    • Typically Postgraduate degrees such as:
      • M.E/M.Tech/M.S in relevant engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Computer Science, Data Science, AI & ML, etc.)
      • M.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science
    • Often GATE / CSIR-UGC NET or other national-level exam (DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, etc.) qualification is required or preferred.
    • Strong subject fundamentals and hands-on skills in the specific domain (motors, electrochemistry, AI/ML, etc.).
  2. Senior Research Fellows (SRF):
    • Same base degrees as JRF plus research experience (generally ≥ 1 year).
    • Preference for candidates with publications, proven project work, or strong domain experience (e.g., ceramics, perovskites, cybersecurity).
  3. Research Associate (RA):
    • Ph.D. in relevant field, or master’s degree with quality publications and high-level expertise in simulation, modeling, and experimentation.
  4. NPDF (National Post-Doctoral Fellow):
    • Ph.D. degree (or thesis submitted) in relevant field; age and other conditions as per NPDF norms.
    • Strong publication record in the specific research domain (e.g., deepfake detection, cybersecurity).
  5. Project / Technical / Field Assistants and Project Assistants:
    • B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in relevant sciences/engineering (Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgy, Materials, Electrical, etc.),
    • OR in some cases B.E/B.Tech is listed as desirable or acceptable.

Each post has a specific, detailed job description. In summary, responsibilities include:

  1. Experimental Research & Prototyping
    • Designing, prototyping, and testing:
      • Electric motors and drives for tractors
      • GaN-based DC–DC converters for EV subsystems
      • Electrolyzers and electrocatalysts for green hydrogen
      • Advanced batteries, ceramics, and perovskites
    • Operating and maintaining specialized labs and equipment (e.g., electrochemical workstations, furnaces, XRD/SEM/Raman, HVAC test setups).
  2. Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
    • Using FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, Maxwell, Motor-CAD, HyperMesh, etc.) for:
