Eligibility/Qualification–
Ph.D in Physics or Atmospheric or Oceanic Sciences. Proficiency in numerical computation and large data analytics is expected.
Job/Position Description-
It is proposed to hold Walk-in-Interviews to fill two temporary positions of one Project Scientist and one Project Assistant under the SERB Distinguished Fellowship Project (May 2018-April 2023). The Project is entitled ‘Advancing the Predictability of Indian Summer Monsoon on Seasonal to Decadal Time Scales’ and involves the application of theoretical and analytical methods to observations and climate model simulations to unravel processes governing the predictability of the Indian monsoon. The appointments are going to be rather;hortÂterm appointments as the Project is coming to an end by April, 2023. The selected persons are expected to work on short-term research projects and learn about some exciting Climate and its Variability aspects.
