Eligibility/Qualification-
Essential Qualification: | Doctoral Degree in the field of Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences/ Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University |
Desirable Qualification: | Candidate should have knowledge on marine biodiversity and have field experience in Marine ecosystem |
Job/Position Description- –
The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for contractual engagement of Project personnel (4 nos.) for ongoing project “Recovery of Dugong and their habitats in India” funded by CAMPA-MoEFCC. The EQ, DQ and other details of the Position are as provided below

Duration | 2 years and 9 months |
Description of Work: | Coordinate all filed activities related recovery of dugongs and their habitats. Place of work is Palk Bay & Gulf of Mannar in Tamil Nadu, Gulf of Kutchch and Andaman Nicorbar Islands |
Responsibilities: | Organize outreach/ awareness programme for local community, organize capacity building programme for stockholders and conduct site specific research related to management of seagrass habitat |
