Eligibility / Qualification
Essential qualifications:
1st Class Master’s Degree in the relevant subject (e.g., Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.)
OR
2nd Class M.Sc. + Ph.D. in relevant subject from a recognized university
Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in techniques like PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, western blotting, flow cytometry, enzymology, experience in handling and experiments on clinical samples etc., knowledge of data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism), publications in indexed journals, and previous research experience and practical knowledge of immunology, mammalian culture and parasite biology.
Job Description
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one temporary position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical) in the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) sponsored research project under the supervision of Prof. Shailja Singh, Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The details of the project, qualifications, fellowship amount etc., are following:
Title of the project: Reversing g6pd deficiency phenotype prevalent in India through drug like small molecule for malaria elimination
Post: Project Research Scientist – I (Non-Medical) – One post
Salary: – Rs. 56000 + Rs.16,800/- (30% HRA) = Rs. 72,800/- per month
The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority for the duration of the project.
