Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in planetary science or a closely related field
  • Strong background in spacecraft data analysis, geochemistry, and/or X-ray fluorescence techniques
  • Proven publication record and research capability
  • Proficiency in ArcPro, Python, and familiarity with planetary geological processes relevant to Mercury

Job Description

The appointed candidate will undertake duties including, but not limited to:

  • Investigating geological processes on Mercury using MESSENGER and BepiColombo data
  • Researching Mercury’s volcanic history, the behavior of volatiles in its crust, and the implications of surface composition for its geological history
  • Collaborating on elemental and mineralogical experiments regarding Mercury analogue materials
  • Leading or contributing to high-profile research publications
