About- The Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Defence Laboratory Jodhpur, has announced a walk-in interview for the award of Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions in various disciplines including Physics, Materials Science, Electronics, Chemistry, and Mechanical Engineering. Eligibility/Qualification–

Research Associate (RA) – Physics/Materials

• Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or equivalent discipline.
• OR
• Three years of research, teaching, or design and development experience after M.Sc. in Physics/Materials with at least one publication in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.

Research Associate (RA) – Electronics

• Ph.D. in Electronics or equivalent discipline.
• OR
• Three years of research, teaching, or design and development experience after M.E./M.Tech in Electronics with at least one publication in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Chemistry

• M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry with First Division.
• Valid NET/GATE/JEST qualification.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Physics

• M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Physics with First Division.
• Valid NET/GATE/JEST qualification.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Mechanical Engineering

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with First Division and valid NET/GATE qualification.
• OR
• M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with First Division at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Age Limit

• Research Associate (RA): Maximum 35 years.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Maximum 28 years.

Age relaxation:

• SC/ST/PH candidates: 5 years.
• OBC candidates: 3 years.

Selected candidates will work on advanced defence-related research projects at DRDO’s Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur, which is a major Material Cluster Laboratory of DRDO. Fellows will contribute to research, development, testing, and innovation activities in their respective disciplines supporting national defence technologies.
