About- Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following positions in the research project entitled “Design of S- and X- Band High Power Microwave Source- Relativistic Backward Wave Oscillator (RBWO)” sponsored by the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), through the DRDO Industry Academia (DIA) collaboration, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, New Delhi. 1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)- Electronics Engineering

Eligibility/Qualification:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Essential: Postgraduate in Basic Science OR Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering/Professional Course. Must have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship), or national-level selection by IIT (BHU).
- Desirable:
- Electrochemistry, energy conversion/storage devices, material synthesis, battery/cell assembly, molecular dynamics simulations, programming skills (Python, MATLAB, C/C++), experimental aptitude.
Senior Project Associate (SPA)
- Essential: Four-year Bachelor’s or Master’s in Natural/Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, or equivalent + requisite R&D experience; OR Doctoral degree as per requirements.
- Desirable:
- Biomass valorization, nanocellulose, biorefinery, analytical techniques (FTIR, SEM, TEM, XRD), scientific writing.
Research Associate II (RA II)
- Essential: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS, or 3 years research/teaching post–MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one SCI journal publication.
- Desirable:
- Strong in electrochemistry/chemical/mechanical engg., microfluidics, publication record in battery research, high-speed imaging, academic writing.
Project Scientist I (PS I)
- Essential: Doctoral in Science/Master’s in Engineering or Technology.
- Desirable:
- Material synthesis, Li-ion battery, electrode fabrication, electrochemistry, ab initio simulations, ML application, 2D/3D material characterisation, mentoring ability.

IIT (BHU) Varanasi: Research Positions Advertisement Under ANRF-Sponsored Project “Te-MobiX: Safe and Degradation-Controlled Batteries with Efficient Charging for Tropical e-Mobility Excellence”
Applications are invited for multiple research-oriented positions under a high-impact Government of India project on battery technology and e-mobility at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. HRA will be provided as per institute rules if campus accommodation is not available.
- Conduct advanced research in battery materials and e-mobility systems.
- Collaborate on simulation, experimental, and analytical activities.
- Synthesize, characterize, and analyze battery components and devices.
- Develop new methodologies for material processing and device integration.
- Document research, publish results, and support project deliverables.
