Eligibility/Qualification–
- Educational Qualification – Ph.D in Bioprocess Engineering or a related field with 2 years’ experience, or M.Tech with minimum 3 years’ experience
Technical Expertise
- Expertise in Strain engineering using synthetic biology tools (including screening and library preparation of genetic parts); metabolic engineering including in-silico genome scale models • Hands-on experience with bioreactors or fermentation systems, analytics, or downstream processes; Strong understanding of bioprocess optimization
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis (desirable)
- Experience with process modeling and simulation

- Excellent communication skills both written and oral; as demonstrated in Scientific writing including presentations, documentation, proposals and report generation
Ability to work, collaborate, and mentor junior researchers in cross-functional teams • Ability to think critically, demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Job Description:
- Strain Engineering including screening, and library preparation of genetic parts
- Operating and analysing biological systems in batch and continuous mode and troubleshooting
- Support development and optimisation of bioproducts
- In-charge of biorepository, cataloguing, archiving and retrieval.Â
- Lead in designing experiments related to development, scale-up, scale-down, and characterization of fermentation and primary recovery processes
- Interpret results and design studies for process improvements using statistical Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology
- Lead preparation of patent documentation, technical specifications, and tech transfer documents
- Assist in scientific and technical project proposal preparation, funding agency submissions and grant documentations
