Eligibility/Qualification–

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering / Applied Physics/ Materials Science & Engineering / Chemistry / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

M.Tech./M.E.in Electrical Engineering / Applied Physics / Materials Science & Engineering /Chemistry/ Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with minimum 4 years relevant experience;

B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Applied Physics / Materials Science & Engineering /Chemistry/ Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with minimum 6 years relevant experience

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in nanofabrication and semiconductor processing.
Additionally, experience in modeling and design related to materials selection and process development is required.
Prior experience with gas sensors will be considered an advantage.

Project title: Translation & Research for Advanced Nanoelectronics Growth (TaRANG)

About the project: Translation and Research for Advanced Nanoelectronics Growth is an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) to develop cutting-edge nanoelectronics technologies through excellence in applied research; and to translate these into solutions for industry and strategic user agencies.

Job Profile:

We are seeking a candidate who can work in the IITB Nanofabrication Facility and laboratories in the Electrical Engineering department to design, fabricate, package, and test prototype MEMS gas sensors.

The candidate is expected to work on the optimization of growth and characterization of thin films, etching processes, and MEMS process development.

The candidate is expected to document all progress thoroughly, contribute to periodic project reports, and lead on the writing of academic publications resulting from the work. Collaboration with industrial partners is anticipated through the course of the project and the candidate will be responsible for day-to-day interfacing with industrial partners in alignment with existing best practice approaches at IITB.

Pay Details:

Level PR-O2 : Salary range from Rs.42000 to Rs. 84000 + Rs.7500.00/- Out Of Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.

General information: The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project.
