Join our dynamic interdisciplinary research team as a Data Steward in the INF project of the DFG Collaborative Research Center SFB 1430 “Molecular Mechanisms of Cell State Transitions”. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of biomedical research, information sciences, and informatics, contributing to groundbreaking studies on cell state transitions and cancer therapy development.

Job Description:

Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Duration: Until 31.12.2025 (with potential extension upon project renewal)
Working Hours: 39 hours 55 minutes per week (full-time)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage research data for SFB 1430, focusing on technical and organizational aspects.
  • Implement and support various FDM tools, particularly OMERO, eLabFTW, and Dataverse.
  • Assist and advise researchers on FDM at the interface between Research Data Services and SFB 1430.
  • Develop FDM workflows collaboratively with researchers.
  • Promote sustainable data management and repository data provision.
  • Support and train researchers in using electronic lab books and data platforms.
  • Handle project management, documentation, data management plans, and publications.
  • Engage with the FDM community and National Research Data Infrastructure.

Your Profile:

  • Successful completion of a scientific degree in a relevant field (PhD preferred).
  • Strong interest in developing novel open-source solutions for research and data management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience with digital research data, processes, and tools such as electronic lab books and data archiving is advantageous.
  • Proactive, innovative, and willing to travel for work.
  • Proficiency in English.
