About-Â IThe ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR-NIMR) is seeking a qualified Project Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for a temporary project titled “Comparative Study on the Efficacy and Safety of Low-Dose (0.25 mg/kg) vs. Standard-Regimen (0.75 mg/kg) Primaquine for Plasmodium Falciparum: An open label RCT.” The project duration is 12 months.

Eligibility/Qualification-Â
- Essential Qualification:Â First class Post Graduate Degree in Life Science/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Microbiology/Biotechnology (including integrated PG degrees) OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with PhD.
- Desirable:
- Knowledge or research experience in parasitology, epidemiology, or surveillance of infectious diseases.
- Hands-on experience with molecular techniques like RNA/DNA isolation, PCR, etc.
- Experience in analyzing biomedical research and clinical data.
- Experience in designing research protocols and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for clinical research.
- Age Limit:Â 35 years (Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR Guidelines).
Job/Position Description-
This is a temporary project-based position. Responsibilities will align with the project’s objectives as a Project Scientist-I (Non-Medical).
Consolidated Emoluments:Â Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (as applicable) per month.
