Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS), Bengaluru, India, invites applications for Scientist Position in CeNS from eligible and interested candidates.

About-  The Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS)is a premier scientific autonomous institute under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, carrying out Research &Development of specific areas in Nano Science and Technology including Soft Matter. It also emphasizes on basic research leading to new phenomena, processes and prototyping of devices. CeNS invites applications for Temporary Faculty positions of Scientist C and D from eligible individuals who wish to complement and extend the CeNS research activities. Scientist Position in CeNS

Research/Job Area- Physical Sciences or Chemical Sciences

Broad areas of Nanoscience and Soft Matter, including but not limited to:

  • Nanoscience and Nanomaterials
  • Energy Materials and Energy Storage
  • Organic Material Synthesis and Applications
  • Polymer Science and Polymer Nanocomposites
  • Interface Science
  • Biosensors and Diagnostic Applications
  • Electrocatalysis
  • Sensing Technologies

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD) in Physical Sciences or Chemical Sciences
    (Preference for Natural/Nano Science & Technology)
    OR
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / relevant disciplines from a recognized university

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of regular full-time R&D experience in:
    • Academic institutions
    • Industrial organizations
    • Scientific & Technological (S&T) organizations

(Experience counted only after acquiring the minimum qualifying degree)

Age Limit

  • 30 years as on the closing date
  • Relaxable as per CeNS Recruitment Rules & Government of India norms
