About- National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, is an Autonomous Research Institution funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to pursue research on various aspects of plant genomics. The Institute is also establishing a NIPGR Translational Centre at Biotech Science Cluster, NCR, Faridabad. Research/Job Area- Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology or any other related field
Location- National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, India
Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidates having M.Tech (Engineering or Technology) or Ph. D degree (awarded) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology or any other related field and fulfilling the guidelines/norms of DST Office Memorandum SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. The candidate should have research experience in Bioinformatics. At least one first- authored publication in peer-reviewed international journal is desirable, and that will be the criteria for shortlisting for interview. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in the field of Bioinformatics.
The upper age limit of the post is 35 years.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Project Scientist-I in the DBT project entitled “Plan Genomics, Gene Regulatory Network and Novel RNA Molecules under “Establishment of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Centre (BIC) in New
Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR. The details of the position are as under:
Project Scientist-I (one post): Emoluments `. 56000/- plus HRA per month as sanctioned in the project.
The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The emoluments for the above position are as sanctioned in the project and as per DST/DBT norms. The appointment will be till the tenability of the project i.e. up to 17/12/2025, and the same can be curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
