For Arts & Science Departments

A. Professor

Ph.D. in concerned/allied/relevant discipline
Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals
Total research score of 120 (as per UGC Appendix II Table 2)
Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience
Evidence of guiding doctoral candidates

Outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years of significant contribution to the discipline.

B. Associate Professor

Ph.D. degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline
Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks
Minimum 8 years teaching/research experience
At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals
Research score of 75 (as per Appendix II Table 2)

C. Assistant Professor

Master’s degree with 55% marks
NET/SLET/SET qualification OR Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016
Foreign Ph.D. from top 500 ranked universities (QS/THE/ARWU) also eligible
Academic score (Appendix II Table 3A) used only for shortlisting

💻 For Computer Science & Engineering Department

Professor

Ph.D. in relevant field
First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level
Minimum 10 years teaching/research/industry experience
At least 3 years at Associate Professor level
6 SCI publications + 2 Ph.D. guided

10 SCI publications as Associate Professor level

Preferred Expertise:

Multidisciplinary academic background
Indian Knowledge System
Experimental Learning Pedagogy
Industry/NGO experience desirable

Qualifications as per UGC/AICTE/Govt. of Assam norms (latest amendments applicable).
