About- These are the Awards conferred annually to promote healthy competition amongst central universities and motivate them to adopt best practices from around the world in pursuit of excellence.

Rashtrapati Bhavan invites application for Visitor’s Awards 2021 from eligible and interested candidates.
These are the Awards conferred annually to promote healthy competition amongst central universities.
Winning entry(ies) of each categories and sub-categories will be felicitated with a Citation and cash reward.
Any eligible person can apply directly without the approval or being forwarded by the University authorities.
However, recommendations from two referees will be needed.
The last date for submitting the application is October 31, 2021.
The names of the recipients of the awards will be published in the official Gazette of the President of India, i.e. www.presidentofindia.nic.in/visitorawards.

Research/Job Area-

Rashtrapati Bhavan invites online applications from faculty members and students of Central Universities for Visitor’s Awards 2021 in categories:

1. Visitor’s Award for Innovation; 2. Visitor’s Award for Research in (a) Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, (b) Physical Sciences and (c) Biological Sciences; and 3. Visitor’s Award for Technology Development.

Eligibility/Qualification–

All faculty members and students of all Central Universities, where the President of India is the Visitor, are eligible for the Visitor’s Awards in all the categories / sub-categories. Individuals / group of individuals can apply.
One can have multiple numbers of applications in all the categories/sub categories, provided that all entries should be on different topics.
Any eligible person can apply directly without the approval or being forwarded by the University authorities. However, recommendations from two referees will be needed.

Job/Position Description-

The winning entry(ies) of each categories and sub-categories will be felicitated with a Citation and cash reward.
The total value of the cash reward will be Rupees Two and a Half Lakhs.
If there are two or more recipients, the cash reward will be shared equally between them, subject to the condition that, each awardee will receive a minimum of Rupees One Lakh.
For example, if there are two awardees in the same category, the cash reward of Rs. 2.5 Lakh will be distributed equally amongst them, i.e. Rs. 1.25 Lakh each.
However, if there are 3 or more awardees in the category, Rs. 1 lakh each will be given to them.

The Awards will be presented by the President of India, in his capacity as the Visitor of Central Universities. The names of the recipients of the awards will be published in the official Gazette

How to Apply-

Applicants can apply by visiting website www.presidentofindia.nic.in and clicking on the link ‘7th Visitor’s Award, 2021’.The last date for submitting the application is October 31, 2021. More details can be seen ahttps://rb.nic.in/ visitorawards.

Log on to the official website of President of India, i.e., www.presidentofindia.nic.in. A link is provided in the menu “Nomination for Seventh Visitor’s Awards”. Click on that link and you will be led to the appropriate microsite. Alternatively, you can directly go the url, rb.nic.in/visitorawards (https://rb.nic.in/visitorawards).

Before filling up of the application, candidates are requested to kindly keep in mind the following:

1. Have a soft copy of your photograph ready (maximum 200Kb).
2. Once mobile number and email are registered, they cannot be changed.
3. You can submit multiple applications in same or different categories/sub categories.
4. Soft copies of current resume, technical information, report of functional efficiency and details of any external evaluation done should be kept ready beforehand in pdf format and size should not exceed 10 Mb each.
5. You will need to provide details like: Name, eMail, Contact Number of two referees (one of whom shall be the Vice Chancellor of your University and the other will be your Director/Dean/Professor familiar with your work) to whom your application will be forwarded for submission of their recommendations online.
6. Soft copy of the photograph (jpeg format) of the subject, if any, should not exceed 1 Mb
7. PowerPoint presentation should not be more than 5 slides and 25 Mb.
8. Video relating to the entry should only be in standard format like wmv, mpeg, avi, mp4 etc. and should not exceed 100 Mb in size.
9. Once submitted, application cannot be edited or deleted.
