About- The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and welcomed the first batch of students into the campus in Paloura, Jammu. In the initial phases, the establishment of IIT Jammu was done under the mentorship of IIT Delhi.

Computer Science & Engineering: Theoretical CS, Systems (Networks, OS, CPS), AI, and Robotics.
Electrical Engineering: Embedded Systems, Mixed-signal IC design, Quantum Sensing, Core AI.
Materials Engineering: Semiconductor Materials, Quantum Devices, Materials Informatics (AI/ML).
Mathematics: Statistics, Differential Equations, Number Theory, Algebra, Geometry.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Common Requirement: Ph.D. in a relevant area with first class or equivalent in the preceding degrees and a consistently good academic record.
Professor: Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 4 years as Associate Professor in institutes of national importance. Must show leadership in research and Ph.D. guidance.
Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 3 years as Assistant Professor. Must demonstrate independent research and guidance of M.Tech/Ph.D. students.
Assistant Professor Grade-I: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (excluding Ph.D. duration). Candidates should preferably be below 35 years of age.
Assistant Professor Grade-II: For those meeting all criteria except the post-Ph.D. experience required for Grade-I.

The following positions are available under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) framework:

Selected faculty members will be responsible for:

Developing and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Conducting high-impact research and securing external funding.
Mentoring students and contributing to departmental and institutional growth.
