Eligibility/Qualification

- Experience with microfluidics, advanced in vitro models, transport across endothelial barriers, and viral vectors
- Proficiency in optical microscopy, molecular biology techniques, and NGS technologies is advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English (oral and written)
- Proactive and self-driven attitude
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment
Job Description
The Postdoc will:
- Develop new in vitro models of the human and mouse blood-brain barrier
- Benchmark these models for preclinical and clinical investigations
- Collaborate with Novartis researchers to test the models for expediting candidate therapeutics selection, especially for gene therapy
- Work at the intersection of academic and industrial research with access to resources from both institutions
