Eligibility/Qualifications:
- PhD in Electrochemistry, Engineering, or similar disciplines.
- Strong knowledge in electrochemical cell design and fundamental electrochemistry.
- Desirable: Knowledge of electronics, experience in metal dissolution and electroplating.
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
- High level of autonomy and goal orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Team player capable of collaborating with diverse groups.
Additional Valued Skills (Not Essential):
- Expertise in redox-flow and/or decoupled electrolyzers.
- Background in fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency in characterization techniques such as spectroscopy (XAS, Raman, XPS), microscopy (TEM/SEM), ICP-MS, DEMS/OLEMS, and gas chromatography.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Design innovative electrolyzer cell concepts and geometries.
- Optimize electrochemical processes, including metal electroplating and gas collection.
- Conduct cell modeling and simulations.
- Perform electrochemical characterization of solid electrolyte-electrode interfaces.
- Present research findings at project meetings, conferences, and through publications.
