About- Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (RA) at the Department of Physics, N. I. T. Durgapur. He or She will work on a SThe Department of Physics at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur invites applications for one Research Associate (RA) position under an ongoing SERB-sponsored project titled “Titanium dioxide (TiO₂)/Vanadium dioxide (VO₂) NWs heterostructure as a stable optical switch” [File No. CRG/2021/000255]. The appointment is until January 28, 2025, with a possibility of extension based on project continuation and performance.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualifications | The candidates must have Ph.D. in Metallurgical / Metallurgical and Materials / Mineral/ Chemical / Mechanical/ Environmental Engineering or Science or related branch of Engineering and Science. (Final Thesis Submitted candidates can also apply) |
Desirable Qualifications/ Experience | Hands on experience in Extractive Metallurgy, preferable work experience in Iron and Steel Making/ Pyrometallurgy/ Liquid metal handling/ Hydrogen assisted iron and Steel making/ Hydrogen plasma smelting/ Reduction behavior etc. Proven research capability demonstrated through publications in peer-reviewed journals. |
Age | Upper age limit preferably should not be more than 35 years as on 30th June, 2025 (Relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Female candidate) |
