Eligibility-
- Minimum Qualifications:
PhD or equivalent with a background in Chemical Engineering.
Mandatory:
The candidate should have a good academic record throughout and the percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualifications will be a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in 10th and 12th.
Age Limit: 30 years (max) on the last date of application submission
Job/Position Description-
Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from highly motivated, sincere, hardworking and researchoriented candidates for the position of a Postdoctoral Fellow to work with Dr. Pratyush Dayal, Department of Chemical Engineering, in Polymer Engineering Research Laboratory (PERL). IIT Gandhinagar.
Tenure: 1 year on a contract (Rolling yearly, with assessment and extension at the end of each year)
- Monthly consolidated pay: Range: ₹ 72,000/-
- Develop computational models to study phase behavior and pattern formation in polymer blends under external stimuli.
- Apply expertise in polymer science, electroactive materials, and phase separation to guide research.
- Simulate coupled transport and reaction–diffusion processes using advanced mathematical models.
- Model photo-polymerization kinetics and electric field-driven ordering in soft materials.
- Employ computational tools and programming platforms to analyze reaction–diffusion and transport phenomena.
