Research Area
The focus of this position is on the continuous synthesis of highly crystalline magnetic ferrite nanoparticles. This research involves developing processes for synthesis in near-critical and supercritical water, optimizing process parameters, and characterizing properties and structures of the synthesized materials.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in (technical) chemistry, chemical engineering, or related disciplines with excellent grades.
- Strong interest in scientific work and willingness to pursue a doctorate.
- Strong background in technical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and chemical synthesis.
- Experience with high-pressure technology and related electronic components is beneficial.
- Familiarity with programming and chemical analysis techniques (e.g., electron microscopy, powder diffraction) is desirable.
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus.
- Collaborative mindset for team-oriented and interdisciplinary work.
Description
The selected candidate will adapt existing hydrothermal synthesis plants, develop processes for continuous synthesis, and carry out kinetic investigations. The role includes characterizing magnetic nanoparticles and functionalizing surfaces for integration into 3D-printed materials. Opportunities exist for presenting research at conferences and publishing results.
