Eligibility/Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or related fields
- Not resided or carried out main activities (work/study) in Belgium for over 12 months in the 3 years prior to recruitment
- Background in polymer recycling and material characterization is preferred
- Experience in chemical laboratory environments and with analytical equipment
- Proficiency in English (C1 level)
Job Description
- Develop dynamic/reversible chemistry for elastomeric materials in footwear to enable recyclability.
- Conduct research on debondable adhesives.
- Prepare smart building blocks and crosslink them with industrially relevant compounds.
- Perform material evaluations including rheology, tensile testing, and adhesive strength tests.
- Collaborate with academic supervisors and industrial partners in a multidisciplinary environment.
