Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree or equivalent, or have submitted PhD thesis for assessment before the application deadline.
  • Strong interest in ecology, natural history, and molecular methods for biodiversity research.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Scientific publishing and project management in molecular ecology/genomics.
  • Bioinformatics and statistical analyses of next-generation sequencing data (eDNA metabarcoding and/or shotgun data).
  • Ecological data analyses and GIS, specifically using R.
  • Fieldwork, particularly in collecting eDNA samples and conducting biodiversity surveys.
  • DNA laboratory work, preferably eDNA.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage daily research projects in coordination with the group.
  • Conduct high-throughput eDNA analyses across various ecosystems (coasts, rivers, grasslands).
  • Collaborate on developing research ideas related to eDNA and molecular ecology.
  • Involve in training and co-supervision of other staff and students.
