Eligibility/Qualification
- An above-average university degree and Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong research background in electrodeposition.
- Excellent knowledge of advanced alloys and their characterization.
- Experience with ion irradiation experiments and materials under extreme conditions is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international research environment.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently while effectively contributing to the team.
Desirable Knowledge:
- Finite element simulations (e.g., ANSYS or COMSOL).
- Material characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, EBDS, Nanoindentation).
- Basic programming skills in Python or C++.
Job Description
- Design and synthesize bulk and nanostructured samples of advanced alloys with controlled geometry, composition, and crystallinity using electrochemical deposition.
- Characterize samples (geometry, composition, and crystallinity) using a broad range of analytical methods.
- Investigate radiation-hardness-related material properties.
- Publish and present scientific results in international journals and conferences.
- Co-supervise students.
