Eligibility/Qualification

  • An above-average completed doctorate (PhD) in information and coding theory, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of and research experience in information-theoretic security and privacy applied to future communication and computation systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, versatility, initiative-taking, and a proven ability to conduct independent scientific research.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary working environment.
  • Very good command of English (spoken and written); good German language skills (B1 level and higher) are an advantage.
  • Experience with successful third-party funding applications is a plus.

Job Description

  • Conduct top-level, highly productive research in information-theoretic security applications in future communication and computation systems.
  • Contribute to third-party funding applications.
  • Assist in teaching and chair management tasks (approximately 20% of Full-Time Equivalent).
