Job Description:
You will be engaged in a groundbreaking research project focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of how plants sense mechanical forces during infections. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and conducting experiments to identify early signaling proteins and genes involved in mechanosensing.
- Functional analysis of candidate genes using mutants and perturbed proteins.
- Studying infection phenotypes across various levels: macroscopic, microscopic, and biophysical.
You will collaborate with the Translational Plant Biology (TPB) group, contributing to the overarching aims of the GreenTE consortium, which includes seven Dutch universities.
