Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential Criteria:
- Laboratory-based experience in cellular and molecular techniques, including RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9, flow cytometry, immunoblotting, and RT-qPCR.
- Competency in bioinformatics and computational tools.
- Ability to supervise project students and engage in teaching and public engagement.
- Strong motivation and resilience to overcome research challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for varied audiences.
Job Description
You will work independently to generate high-quality experimental data for publications and funding applications. Responsibilities include:
- Leading experimental work on the detection and targeting of translation inhibitor-sensitive RUNX1 mutations.
- Supervision of project students and contributions to the research culture.
- Collaboration with University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust and the Sussex Blood Cancer Research network.
- Participation in school missions and engagement in teaching and public outreach.
