Eligibility/Qualification

Essential Experience:

  • Strong practical experience in at least one of the following:
  • Confocal or live-cell fluorescence imaging
  • Molecular cloning and transgenesis
  • Single-cell RNA sequencing or transcriptomic analyses
  • Experience with marine invertebrate model systems.
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and analyze complex experiments.

Desirable Experience:

  • Strong publication track record.
  • Familiarity with cnidarians, photosymbiosis, or hostโ€“algae interactions.
  • Skills in neurophysiology, biosensors, or neuronal imaging.
  • Expertise in bioinformatics and animal behaviour assays.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and conduct lab and aquarium experiments in line with project goals.
  • Present findings at national and international conferences.
  • Prepare research manuscripts for publication.
  • Participate in outreach events.
  • Investigate how algal photosynthesis influences animal behavior through the host’s nervous system.
