Research Area
The fellowships will focus on:
- Characterization of micropollutants in wastewater and advanced treatment processes.
- Large-scale chemical profiling of human urinary exposome associated with health outcomes.

Eligibility/Qualification
- MSc degree in analytical chemistry, environmental analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, or related discipline.
- Alternatively, an MSc in data science with experience in modeling complex analytical datasets.
- Hands-on experience with chromatography (LC, GC, SFC) coupled with mass spectrometry.
- Experience in targeted/non-target screening, method development, and validation.
- Familiarity with chemometrics, machine learning, or deep learning.
Description
The PhD candidates will work on state-of-the-art separation science, including:
- LC (online-SPE-LC), GC×GC, and SFC coupled to high-resolution MS platforms (Orbitrap, QqTOF, TOF).
- Projects involve quantitative targeted analysis as well as suspect and non-target screening in complex environmental and biological matrices.
- Candidates will also engage in analytical data science for compound identification and model development.
