Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required:
  • Masterโ€™s degree or equivalent in engineering, biotechnology, microbiology, environmental sciences, or related fields with above-average results.
  • Practical lab experience in microbiology, chemistry, or environmental engineering.
  • Proficiency in both written and oral English.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with microbial electrochemical technologies, data analysis, programming/scripting (e.g., Python, R), and simulation (e.g., COMSOL).

Job Description

  • Perform bioelectrochemical experiments to optimize cathode design and microbial cultures for acetate production from COโ‚‚ and nutrients derived from aquaculture wastewater.
  • Optimize cultivation conditions for selected microbial strains aimed at producing single-cell protein (SCP) from acetate.
  • Conduct data acquisition, statistical analysis, and prepare scientific manuscripts for publication.
  • Collaborate with the research group and engage in both independent and team-oriented tasks.
