Designation/Position- Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Junior Scientist, Co-PI/Junior Investigator
About- Applications are invited for three Postdoctoral/Junior scientists and four Co-PI/Junior investigator positions at the newly established Center for Pathogen Genomics of the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, headed by Professor Yong-Zhen Zhang. Professor Yong-Zhen Zhang’s group has made, within the past five years, impressive progress in the field of infectious disease genomics and evolution, with prominent publications in Cell (Zhang, et al., 2018. Invited Commentary), Nature (Shi, et al. 2018), Nature (Shi, et al., 2016), PNAS (Qin, et al., 2014), eLife (Li et al., 2015), and Plos Pathog (Guo, et al., 2013).

Eligibility/Qualification- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (PhD), and candidates who hold a position as Assistant or Associate Professor are welcome to apply Co-PI/Junior investigator positions. Positions are needed for a diverse range of expertise to support the research projects at the center, which include, but not limited to, molecular virology, bioinformatics, genetics, immunology, cell biology, and infectious medicine. The applicants should hold, or shortly obtain, a PhD or MD degree of the above mentioned disciplines. Applicants with a proven academic track record and strong experience in these fields are particularly encouraged to apply.
Job/Position Description- Candidates are expected to work full time in China for a fixed term of at least 2 years, extended term will depend on the evaluation of the candidate for their achievement during the first 2 years. Salary will match the qualification and working experiences within a range of RMB200,000 to RMB300,000 for postdoc fellow/Junior scientist and RMB300,000 to RMB500,000 for Co-PI/Junior investigator (RMB500,000 is equivalent to $78,000).
