About-  The Department of Human Genetics is a broadly oriented research department, led by Professor Silvère van der Maarel. The department consists of 21 research units, embedded in four overarching research themes, and covers diverse topics ranging from fundamental research on genome stability mechanisms to (epi)genomic contribution to monogenic, multifactorial and acquired diseases, and the translation into clinical relevance. You will work in the recently established research group led by Dr. Sylvie Noordermeer which is embedded in the research theme ‘Genome instability and cancer’. We are interested in understanding the cellular regulation of DNA double-strand break repair which maintains chromosomal stability.

Eligibility/Qualification–

• You received your PhD in molecular biology or a related field;
• You have hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques;
• You have an organized and independent work style and you have excellent communication skills;
• Previous experience with high resolution microscopy, next generation sequencing and/or bio-informatics is an advantage, but not required. 

Job/Position Description- 

The Department of Human Genetics is looking for a postdoc to investigate the cellular regulation of DNA double-strand break repair which maintains chromosomal stability.

You will be appointed for one year, with possible extension.

Salary = max. € 4,481
