About- National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the constituent Centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS) responsible for the Ground Segment of Remote Sensing Programme through Satellite Data Acquisition, Archival, Processing, Dissemination, Remote Sensing Applications, Training and Capacity Building. It has five Regional Centres located at Bengaluru, Nagpur, Kolkata, Jodhpur and New Delhi to address region/area specific Remote Sensing application needs. The Earth Station located at Shadnagar is being developed as a full-fledged Centre to carry out the entire chain of Remote Sensing activities.

The selected candidates are likely to be posted at NRSC – Earth Station, Shadnagar campus, Rangareddy District, Telangana State or at NRSC, Balanagar, Hyderabad. However, NRSC reserves the right to post the candidates anywhere in India as and when required.
Research Associate (RA):
The Research Associate (RA) shall be paid ₹47,000 per month and is renewable annually for a total period of two years (three years in exceptional cases). There will be a review of the progress of the work before the renewal every year and the remuneration will be fixed at ₹49,000 and ₹54,000 for the 2nd and 3rd year respectively. Research Associates are eligible for medical benefits for self, Leave and HRA as per the rules of NRSC. The candidates selected will not be entitled to any benefits or concessions admissible to regular employees of NRSC. The above provisions are liable to change/revise from time to time as per Government policy. Candidates possessing PhD awarded by foreign Universities/Institutions have to submit its Equivalency Certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
The Positions advertised are purely on temporary basis for a period of one year which can be further extended based on the performance of the candidate in the periodical reviews, for a maximum period of five years (for JRF/RS) and three years (for RA) in total or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. The candidates appointed against above posts shall not have any claim or right for regular appointment against any posts in NRSC/ ISRO /Department of Space and the services of the appointed candidates are liable to be terminated without any notice and without assigning any reasons thereof.

The applicants need not send any documents such as print out of online application, copies of certificates/mark lists in proof of educational qualification, work experience, age etc. by post.
The screened-in/shortlisted candidates will be called for interview before the Selection Committee. Communication shall be sent only to the screened-in/shortlisted candidates. NRSC will not entertain any correspondence on the issue of short-listing of candidates. The call letters for the interview to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail. No communication shall be made to the candidates who are not short-listed/ not screened in.
