Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in physics, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline obtained within the last 3 years.
- Strong interest in cross-disciplinary life-science research.
- Background in theoretical or computational approaches to studying biological systems.
- Analytically-minded experimentalists in the field of cell or developmental biology are also considered.
- Ability to work collaboratively and bridge between disciplines.
Job Description:
- Conduct interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with CSBD members.
- Develop and use theoretical or computational approaches to study biological systems.
- Collaborate with experimental groups at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) and the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden).
- Identify collaborative projects and host groups within three months of arrival.
- Collaborate with more than one research group to bridge between disciplines.
