The Islamic University of Science and Technology was promulgated by an act of Jammu and Kashmir State Legislative Assembly in November 2005. Islamic University is located 28 km away from the summer capital of the state, Srinagar. The almond grove surrounded campus has the Himalayan mountain range to one side of it and Jehlum River flowing to the other.

D. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which the NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. |

Job/Position Description-
Applications through the online mode are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of contractual Assistant Professors as academic arrangements for teaching, research and allied academic activities.
Emoluments
- For candidates having
- PG (excluding Arch) : Rs. 45,000/- per month
- NET/SET/GATE : Rs. 48,000/- per month
- Ph. D. : Rs. 50,000/- per month
- NET/SET/GATE and Ph.D. : Rs. 50,000/- per month
For candidates having
B. Arch/M. Arch. : Rs. 50,000/- per month
Tenure
The tenure of contract shall be three years or till the post is filled on permanent basis whichever is earlier.
How to Apply-
The eligible candidate shall apply online and download the filled application form. The hard copy of the form along with self-attested copies of all necessary documents, certificates, shall have to be submitted in the office of concerned Dean of School on any working day by or before the last date for submission of hardcopies, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be considered.
Selection process
The selection of a candidate shall be based on academic merit calculated as per UGC regulations 2018 (Table:3. A) and interview in ratio of 50:50. In case, the number of applications is more, the interview shall precede by shortlisting which shall be done on the basis of academic merit calculated as above. For one vacancy 20 candidates and for every subsequent vacancy 5 additional candidates shall be short listed for interview.
