Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, invites applications for the 02 Research Associate (RA) Position for eligible and interested candidates.

About- The research associates will be involved in various physics analysis using data collected by ALICE at LHC-CERN and STAR at RHIC-BNL. They can also propose an independent research problem related to the subjects. The IOP is also involved in physics simulation and the FoCal Detector R&D as part of the ALICE detector upgrade. 02 Research Associate (RA) Position

Eligibility/Qualification–

The applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Experimental Nuclear/Particle Physics with a maximum age of 35 years as on the date of the interview. Experience in data analysis and/or detector hardware of high energy physics experiments is desirable.

Study Area:

The RA positions are temporary for a period of one year and are extendable to a maximum of two years based on satisfactory academic performance. The positions do not confer any rights or claims for consideration/absorption against any IOP post. The fellowship is as per the existing rules of the DAE, Government of India.

The Institute of Physics (IOP) invites applications from Indian candidates for two Research Associate (RA) positions in Experimental High Energy Nuclear Physics. The positions are funded by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under the project “Indian participation in the ALICE experiment at CERN.”
