Eligibility/Qualification–
1. Project Coordinator / Manager cum Facility In-charge
- Essential Qualification:
- PhD OR Master’s degree in Science / Technology / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Life Sciences or allied subjects
- Business Administration candidates are also eligible
- Minimum Marks: 55% aggregate (relaxation as per GoI rules)
- Desirable:
- More than 10 years of experience in handling scientific and/or administrative projects
2. Senior Project Associate / Project Associate III
- Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.V.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences or allied subjects with 4 years of R&D experience
OR - PhD in Science or allied subjects
- M.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.V.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences or allied subjects with 4 years of R&D experience
- Minimum Marks: 55% aggregate (relaxation as per GoI rules)
- Desirable:
- Experience in NGS data analysis (Whole genome, metagenomics, 16S/18S amplicon sequencing)
- Programming experience in R-Bioconductor and Python
- One-page write-up on bioinformatics research experience and publications (if any)
3. Project Associate I
- Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.V.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences or allied subjects
- Minimum Marks: 55% aggregate (relaxation as per GoI rules)
Project Description-
The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for multiple project-based positions under the Odisha-DST funded project titled:
“Establishment of OMBRIC-ILS Centre of Excellence in Marine Biotechnology for promoting research on bioprospecting of marine biota.”
The selection will be based on application screening followed by an interview (hybrid mode). All positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project.

- Assist in project execution, data collection, and routine laboratory work
- Prepare reports and assist in publications and project deliverables
