Eligibility/Qualification–
1️⃣ Department of Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch
- First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees
2️⃣ Department of Economics
- Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or accredited foreign university
- Must have cleared UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SLET/SET
OR
- Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (with exemptions as applicable)
OR
- Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among top 500 by QS/THE/ARWU rankings
Ph.D. Exemption Conditions (if registered prior to July 11, 2009):
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners
- Open viva voce conducted
- Two research publications (minimum one in refereed journal)

Job/Position Description-
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) invites applications for the engagement of Guest Faculty in various departments for the Even Semester 2025-26 under Local Advertisement No. 22/2025-26 dated 23.02.2026. Eligible candidates are required to submit the prescribed application form to the concerned department on or before 05 March 2026.
Guest Faculty Positions – Even Semester 2025-26
Jamia Millia Islamia is recruiting Guest Faculty for the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and the Faculty of Social Sciences. Selected candidates will be engaged on a temporary basis and paid a fixed honorarium as per university norms. The appointment will be effective from the date of commencement of classes (not before the Local Selection Committee meeting) and will continue until the vacancy exists or further orders.
