Eligibility/Qualification:
- MD or PhD with experience in bioinformatics, statistics, or molecular epidemiology (or similar quantitative fields).
- Proficiency in R, Python, bash, or equivalent for analyzing large biological datasets.
- Experience in statistical genetics or incorporating various biological data types is a plus.
Job Description: The successful candidate will:
- Work on cutting-edge population genetic and molecular epidemiology studies of complex traits and diseases.
- Utilize large-scale population biobanks such as the Million Veteran Program, UK Biobank, and All of Us.
- Lead end-to-end studies, including hypothesis formulation, analysis plans, implementation, methods assessment, and result reporting/publication.
- Handle various data types (e.g., whole genome sequence, GW genotyped/imputed SNPs, RNA-seq, proteomics).
- Contribute to genetic association studies and polygenic risk prediction.
