PATHWAY TO FACULTY FELLOWSHIP: Wayne State University’s Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time Pathway to Faculty Fellow in Chemical Biology. The fellowship, located in Detroit, MI, focuses on fostering inclusion and equity in the chemical sciences. The fellow will join Professor Mary Kay Pflum’s research team, exploring the molecular basis of human diseases, including cancer and sickle cell disease, through an interdisciplinary approach.

Job Description: The fellow will work with Professor Pflum and a dedicated team of mentors, conducting interdisciplinary research in the A. Paul Schaap Chemistry building. The Pathway to Faculty Program offers up to three years of pre-faculty support, including research funds, infrastructure, mentorship, and teaching experience. The program is rooted in Restorative Inclusive Excellence, aiming to disrupt barriers and promote equity-mindedness in higher education. The fellow, subject to meeting milestones, will transition to a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at Wayne State University.
