Designation/Position- Assistant Professor-Guest Faculty
Applications are invited for the appointment of Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) in the Department of Chemistry for the academic session 2025–26. The position is purely on a guest lecture basis, with honorarium paid as per UGC norms. Interested candidates must apply before 08.09.2025 and attend the scheduled interview.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Qualifications shall be the same as those prescribed for the appointment of regular Assistant Professors of Universities/Colleges under UGC regulations.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities must present valid certificates in the prescribed format.
- OBC candidates must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer category and possess certificates issued after 31st March 2024, as per DoPT guidelines.
- Retired teachers may also apply, subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
Note:
- Candidates who hold a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, or the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2016, and their subsequent amendments, shall be exempted from the requirement of NET for recruitment as Assistant Professor in the University, provided they meet specific conditions.
- The NET is required for different courses in the field of Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Technology/Computer Applications/Information Technology.

Deliver lectures in Inorganic Chemistry as Guest Faculty for the academic session 2025–26.
Honorarium: ₹1500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹50,000 per month (as per UGC letter No. F.25-1/2018(PS/Misc.) dated 28.01.2019).
Faculty members from other colleges/universities may take guest lectures provided:
- They possess a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent institution.
- The additional classes are beyond their prescribed workload.
Guest Faculty may teach up to 04 credit courses in a semester in only one institute/college other than their parent institution.
Number of posts may vary depending upon the workload.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
