About- Purvanchal University was established on 2nd October 1987 as an affiliating university. Started with 68 affiliated colleges, the university now has 367 affiliated graduate and post-graduate colleges. Students enrollment of nearly three lacs and eighty thousand in 5 Districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The University also plans to start courses in Medical Sciences, Library & Information Sciences, B. Tech [Biotech] in near future. The inclusion of the university in the 12(B) of the UGC and accreditation by NAAC have been pivotal in moving the university on the national higher education map.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Qualifications as per UGC Regulations 2018 and relevant UP Government Orders.
Degrees must be from recognized institutions (UGC/AICTE approved).
Ph.D. candidates as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET (as applicable).
Reservation applicable as per Government of Uttar Pradesh rules.
OBC/SC/ST/EWS candidates must provide valid UP State certificates.
