Eligibility/Qualification–

Master’s Degree in Electronics Design and Technology from reputed Institutes such as IITs, IISc, NITs with nearly 20 years of hands- on experience in R&D specifically focusing on developing advanced embedded systems using secure microcontrollers, authenticators along with Industrial monitoring systems.
Minimum 15 years of industrial experience in developing firmware, human-machine interface (HMI), and device driver development using Assembly, C and C++ languages as well as operating systems like Linux and RTOS.
Proven expertise in handling electronic product manufacturing processes.
5+ years of experience in offering consultancy services to reputed companies and Institutions.

Preferred Experience:

An ideal candidate should be leader with strong technical mindset would have developed technically complex products with recent advanced technologies.
Candidate should have strong working knowledge of Embedded systems, control systems, Industrial design, mechanical design, PCB design, design for compliance to global standards and design for manufacturing and sourcing.
Candidate must have experience in interfacing Microprocessor, Microcontroller with external memory sub system including RAMs like DDR, SRAM, FRAM, and fixed/detachable storage devices like ROM, NOR, NAND, and eMMC.
Candidate must have experience in designing and developing a secure system and communication system to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.
Candidate should have experience in interfacing various Gas sensors, Signal conditioning and data processing system.
Candidate should have experience in implementing closed loop process control system.
Experience in designing and integrating Programmable Logic Controllers for sophisticated control and monitoring systems.
Experience in Communication protocols and standards like RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, USB and protocol analysers in debugging the same.
Experience in designing and integrating wired and wireless communication devices like USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, NFC.
Candidate should have experience in integrating secure authentication systems like, Fingerprint, Iris and Face recognition sensors.
Firmware design and development using Assembly, C, and C++ languages. Experience in VHDL programming for CPLD/FPGA is desirable.
Experience in developing device driver and UI for various microcontrollers.
Demonstrated experience to complete product development life cycle.
Proven track record to demonstrate the design robustness through structured root cause analysis, tolerance analysis, worst-case circuit analysis.
Demonstrated experience in executing interdisciplinary projects.
Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in organization and project management.
Track record of developing high volume designs and handling field issues.
Experience in design and integration of Test-jigs, In-System-Programmers and provisioning systems.
Experience in developing Remote Monitoring and Management System.
Working experience with global manufacturing companies and sourcing agents.

Job/Position Description-

Applications are invited for the temporary post of Director Consultant for Solid State Microwave Generator (SSMG), India Centre for Lab Grown Diamond (InCent-LGD), IIT Madras.

Co-ordinator: Prof. Ramachandra Rao MS, Department of Physics, IIT Madras.

Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable based on the performance.

Job Description:

Design and build high performance secure embedded systems.
Develop design guidelines for multilayer printed circuit board (PCB), component sourcing and Steer technology and establish design and manufacturing practices to deliver products that are reliable and high yield.
Architect design for process control automation with wide range of sensors and actuators.
Develop process control architecture.
Develop firmware, device driver and human machine interface (HMI) using Assembly, C and C++ languages in bare metal, and for operating systems like Linux and RTOS.
Plan and execute interdisciplinary functions in product development.
Developed and practiced listening and communicating skills to accommodate different perspectives and stakeholders.
Define the design strategy and vision for the overall product.
